 Situated in a quiet village area and close to the Canal du Midi, Beziers and the Mediterranean coast, Cers offers an ideal location for those looking for a 'home away from home' whilst wanting easy access to many local attractions. The 3 bedroom villa is the 'Landguedocian' style and furnished to a high standard. It offers a south-facing terrace with full stone barbecue and 8x5 metre pool, with sun loungers, chairs for sunbathing and table and chairs for outside dining.. VillaThe property is ideal for up to six people. The three bedrooms are currently configured as two double and smaller room with bunkbeds. There is a large 40 square metre lounge dining room with corner suite and two club chairs, coffee table, dining table and T.V. The television has all UK main news channels as well as BBC1, 2 & 3 and Sky News. There are all main French terrestrial channels as well as a DVD player.The kitchen is fully fitted and has also a microwave oven and grill, separate full oven, electric hotplate and fridge freezer. A washing machine is located in the garage. There is a full 3 piece bathroom upstairs as well as a separate w.c. downstairs. As well as the garage there is adequate parking to the front of the property accessed via a locked double gateway. Also outside the property has a large rear terrace, with sunblind and full barbecue, further terraced area to the side of the property and an 8x4 metre heated pool is available from April to October. There is also individual electric thermostat controlled radiator heating for those using the villa in the winter months. |
 LocalThe climate in this part of France has 300 days of sunshine per year, with temperatures in the summer months often in the 30's and still reasonable for most of the year, reaching the mid 20's even at the end of October.Cers has about 2000 inhabitants. The village is based on the wine trade and has its own co operative. It is also based on the Canal du Midi, with boat hire available nearby. The canal is also ideal for those using bikes to explore further afield. In the village there are a number of fetes that take place annually. There is also, a bar, restaurant, grocers, butchers, 3 bakers, post office, chemists, paper shop, etc. as well as a full sized Champion supermarket at the entry to the village. Within a five minute drive are the main out of town shopping centres of Beziers as well as a fully equipped Hypermarket. A sandy beach is about 10 minutes away by car in Valras Plage which as well as boat hire offers a wide selection of shops and restaurants for the summer visitor. Cap D'Agde is about 20 minutes by car. Beziers town centre plays host to many events during the year not least in August when the Feria, a week long celebration based on the Spanish influences of bullfighting and flamenco dancing takes place. The Pyrenees are also within an hours drive as well as the Spanish border, but there are many other sites to explore much closer, from the rolling hills of the Languedoc vineyards through to the mountains of the Haut Languedoc, just 40 minutes away. |
ServiceGuests can be assured of a minimum of a clean prior and at the end of their stay, as well as a linen and towel change included in the price. An end of stay clean is included in the price. Additional requirements such as additionally cleaning(30 euros) can be arranged at cost. Clients will normally be met on arrival at the villa or alternatively airport collection by prior arrangement can also be organised, at cost, from either Beziers, Carcassone, Montpellier, Perpignan or Toulouse airports. Most are within an hours drive time with Toulouse being 2 hours.Saturday is the normal changeover day with guests given access after 3 p.m. and departure required before 10 a.m. No pets or smoking indoors is allowed. A deposit of 300 Euro is required to confirm reservation and all fees are payable 4 weeks in advance. Weekly RatesJanuary to April & October to Dec - 500 Euros per weekMay, June and September - 700 Euros per week July and August - 850 Euros per week. As well as a weekly linen change and service prices include utility charges and local property taxes. The deposit is refundable and required against damage, breakage's or if additional cleaning is required at the end of the stay. Full payment and deposit are required to reserve the apartments 4 weeks in advance but bookings can be made earlier. Non receipt of payment will mean automatic cancellation of reservation. It is strongly advised that for personal injury insurance, and also travel insurance is taken out by clients prior to departure.
