La Bastide du Village - Maraussan
 The house is a short walk from the centre of the village and has a gravelled drive with parking for 3 cars to the side. A large terrace overlooks the swimming pool and the village. On the ground floor there is a front entrance door to a large open plan lounge dining room overlooking the terrace, garden and swimming pool through glazed French doors, lounge/TV room with French windows to the front, an open plan kitchen. Upstairs there are three double bedrooms one of which has an ensuite shower room, a separate shower room with Italian shower (wet room) and a separate WC.Downstairs is a large family room for relaxing with access to the covered area of the terrace and equipped with a large sofa bed, ideal for guests and young teenagers. The villa has all equipment for you to enjoy your stay including crockery and utensils and all linen and towels (except beach towels) are included. Should additional linen changes be required this can be arranged on request and at cost directly with the housekeepers as can additional cleaning. |
 There are flights from the UK and Europe to Montpellier and Carcassone airports (1 hours drive from the house) and Girona and Toulouse airports (2 hours drive) - there are also flights to Nimes from the UK which is 1.5 hours drive time from the house.With 2 excellent restaurants nearby in the village as well as local bar and shops providing snacks and daytime meals within 2 minutes walk, there is really no need to do anything else but sit back and relax in this beautiful house in the South of France, by the Swimming Pool or on the large terrace overlooking the garden and village. The house is in enclosed walls to the front and having been built recently makes a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the 300 days of sunshine a year. As well as one of the largest street festivals in France in Beziers in mid August the nearby town offers a wealth of annual events, as well as a weekly flower market in the pedestrianised centre every Friday. Pezenas is about 30 minutes drive and has also a number of year round events as well as places to visit based on the history of Shakespeares French equivalent Moliere. Bouzigues is famous for its oyster beds and there are the fishing towns of Marseillan and Meze within a short drive, as well as glorious sandy beaches. |
There is also international canoeing nearby on the River Orb at Reals, Golf at Beziers St Thomas and Lamalou golf clubs, sea and river fishing as well as horse riding, sailing, diving, etcRental prices are 1800 Euros per week in July and August, 1200 Euros in May, June and September and 500 Euros in off season. Reservations are subject to rental contract and Saturday to Saturday in peak season.  |
