Maison Faubourg
A large swimming pool and terrace is situated in the rear garden, which is south facing. Whilst in a quiet location the house is only 20 minutes from the Mediterranean beaches and ideal for exploring the nearby towns of Pezenas and Beziers.
The Languedoc is one of the most popular regions of France with its long sandy beaches, rolling hills and vineyards and these days easy access, either by plane or car. The latter takes you over the highest road bridge in the world at Millau on the A75, when travelling south and just over an hour from the house.
The climate is hot and sunny with temperatures often in the high 30's in summer and with over 300 days of sunshine a year the house is well situated. Pezenas a few minutes drive away is full of history based on the plays of Moliere, the equivalent of Shakespeare but a little more humorous, and full of shops and boutiques as well as restaurants and bars.

Pezenas / Servian Village area

The centre of the village has all shops as well as a medium sized supermarket and a larger supermarket is situated on the edge of the village on the Pezenas road. A number of festivals are held in the village and the surrounding villages and town throughout the year - from the Feria in Beziers in August to the Festival Moliere through June and July in Pezenas. Pezenas town itself is full of shops, restaurants and bars as well as famous for antique and gift shops, many of which you will find in the cobbled streets surrounding the old town - and the Saturday street market is an event not to be missed.
Activities near Pezenas/Servian include tennis in town, watersports at the beach at Valras, Agde and Portiragnes Plage as well as canoeing and white water rafting at the international canoe centre at Reals on the River Orb. A golf course is within 20 mins drive as well as fishing at sea, or on the rivers Orb and Herault.

How to get there

Nearest Travel Links are Airport: Montpellier: 60 km and Railway: Beziers: 12 km

Flights from the Uk and elsewhere arrive at Montpellier - 45 minutes drive, Perpignan and Carcassone 1.25 hours drive or Nimes 1.5 hours drive away. Cheap flights include Ryanair and BMI Baby.

By train/TGV from Paris in 3.5 hours to Beziers and then taxi - 20 minutes. There are regular bus services from the village.

Conditions

No pets are allowed. Smoking is not permitted inside the house. The house is available only Saturday to Saturday from May through to September.

Rental prices are 1300 Euros per week in July and August, 850 Euros per week in May, June and September. Out of season weekly rental is 600 Euros with longer let rates for stays of 4 weeks or more in the out of season period.

There is a security deposit of 300 Euros.
