 With three bedrooms and just 30 minutes from the beaches, the property is ideal for up to six people to enjoy a Mediterranean holiday. The house is spacious and situated in a village with all commodities, with plenty of space both inside and out for relaxing. The house is just 25 minutes from the Mediterranean beaches. Situated within a short walk of the centre of Murviels les Beziers, yet in a quiet location, the property offers an ideal place to stay and enjoy the Mediterranean climate whilst exploring the magnificent area, the largest wine region in the world. The village offers everything to make your stay comfortable with bars and shops as well as a typical village square with its midweek market, various fetes throughout the year and on the edge of the neigbouring village, within 5 minutes, a large supermarket. Just 15 minutes drive from Beziers town the property is also convenient for the various cultural events available here. These include 'the Feria' in Beziers in mid August, and the Fete Occitane celebrations in June to mark the 'Occitan', the ancient and still used local language and culture. The countryside around Murviels offers many opportunities as well, being ideal for canoeing, cycling, rambling, fishing, climbing in the hills of the Languedoc, skiing in the Pyrennes just 2 hours drive away. The canoeing is practically on the doorstep at Reals on the River Orb, where there is an international canoe centre. The Canal du Midi is also within a short drive and as well as boats and picnics provides and ideal place for walking and cycling on its towpaths. Golf is available at St Thomas near Beziers or Lamalou the spa town in the nearby Languedoc National Park. |
 The accommodation in the house itself is situated mainly on the second floor with a large lounge with television, kitchen breakfast room, bathroom, separate W.C. and access to a private large courtyard area ideal for outside eating and barbecues. The bedrooms are one double, one twin and one single with options with bed settees in the lounge and the very large rear conservatory area. There are also two cots and a high chair. Each of the bedrooms has wardrobes. There is a washing machine, dishwasher, gas oven and hob, microwave, toaster, kettle and all crockery and utensils. A television with French channels is available as well as a video player. There is also at the end of the wide corridor a small office space. The conservatory is to the rear of the property and has full length picture windows looking out of the wide first floor terrace of the surrounding countryside. On the ground floor is a large garage with parking for up to three vehicles. All linen and towels is provided except of course beach towels. |
The property is ideally suited to couples, small groups of adults or families with two children. No smoking is allowed inside the house.Other places to visit in the vicinity include the highest motorway bridge in the world at Millau on the autoroute A75, which you may want to visit if you are driving down from the north of France. Also on the Mediterranean are the numerous sandy beaches and the fishing ports at Meze, Sete and Marseillan as well as the oyster village on the Bassin de Thau at Bouzigues. Carcassone, the historic city is about an hours drive away, as are the cities of Perpignan and Montpellier all having airports with direct services from the UK as does Nimes, about an hour and 30 minutes drive away. Prices include an end of stay clean, and are per week in low season, 300 Euros, 420 Euros mid season and 600 Euros peak season. Reservations are normally Saturday to Saturday particularly in peak season, and a 300 Euros security deposit is required which is refundable. |
