 The house has as well as the large private terrace area, split into two for dining and relaxing or sunbathing, two reception rooms the first having an open plan fitted kitchen breakfast room with lounge area, the second lounge area/ TV room with real fire place, a downstairs WC with wash handbasin off the rear hall. A staircase rises to a large landing with single bed, a shower room with WC. There is a small double bedroom with twin beds, then the main bedroom with a small balcony enjoying the views, with a third double bedroom and a second modern shower room with WC.Outside there is a large L Shaped terrace, with views of the hills; this is split into two or three areas with space for relaxing and sunbathing as well as a relaxed dining area with pergola. A short distance away is parking area, within site of the terrace and house. Luggage and shopping can be dropped at the property prior to parking. You will be met by the owners’ caretaker. The property is ideal for groups of families or couples but not suitable for children under 5. No smoking or pets are permitted inside the house. |
 Local shops including two restaurants within walking distance, the house is an ideal location for those who enjoy a relaxing get away from it all break. The property has been well renovated and sits on the outskirts of the historic part of the town, with the towns chateau just above the property. It has great views overlooking the town and surrounding hills and mountains of the Languedoc park, a beautiful 'hidden' part of France. There are large forests, lakes and rivers to explore as well as many places to visit. The beaches of the Mediterranean are about an hours drive away. There are lots of activities in the area, as well as some excellent restaurants. Activities include of course rambling for which La Colline is a perfect base, canoeing, climbing, horseriding in the village, tennis, golf at Lamalou les Bains just 20 minutes away, fishing or using one of the lakes in summer for sailing, the nearest being just 20 minutes away. |
Access via airports at Montpellier, Beziers, Perpignan, Carcassone and Nimes for international UK and European flights as well as further afield via Barcelona, Girona and Toulouse. All are within a few hours and most within an hour and a half. Montpellier and Beziers are about an hour’s drive. There are trains to Bedarieux, the nearest railway station, with TGV connection to Paris via Beziers (4 hours). A car is recommended.Prices are per week with a minimum weekly stay and Saturday to Saturday in peak season of July and August and include all linen and an end of stay clean. Based on groups of 6 prices are Low season 350 Euros, Mid season 500 Euros per week and Peak season 750 Euros per week. Based on groups of 4 prices are Low season 350 Euros, Mid season 450 Euros per week and Peak season 650 Euros per week There is a refundable security deposit of 300 Euros. Out of season reservations can be made mid week to mid week with a minimum of a weekly stay. |
